Golf Wins TVAA

Congratulations to the Saint Joseph's Golf Team for winning the Tri Valley Golf Championship for the 4th year in a row! “This championship marks the fourth straight conference title, our seniors should be proud of the precedent that they set for our program,” Head Coach Chad Walsh said. “Coach Graham and I are very proud of the work that this group continues to put in and the confidence they have in one another." Join in Swimming and Wrestling with State High

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy Athletics has entered in a new partnership with the State College Area School District Athletic Program, and as a result SJCA students may participate on the SCASD Swimming and Wrestling teams in the Winter Sports Season.Participation on a SCASD team requires that the student's residence be in the SCASD and completion of the required paperwork. SJCA students who have interest in competing in the SCASD swimming or wrestling teams should contact Mr. Bryce King, SJCA Athletic Director, at bking@sjcacademy.org.Questions regarding participation on the SCASD swimming or wrestling teams should be directed to Mr. Bryce King, SJCA Athletic Director, at bking@sjcacademy.org.SJCA does not have a partnership established with any other school district at this time.

Koshkos Win Big at States, AGAIN!

Huge congrats to SJCA’s Maddie and Olivia!After awesome play on October 22 resulting in a tie for 1st and a hard front 9 on October 21, Maddie Koshko turned it on to take the lead by hole 15. She ended the day with a birdie on hole 18 and her 2nd PIAA Champion title!Olivia Koshko played great too, putting up 75 on both today and yesterday! Olivia’s talent and grace enabled her to take home the PIAA State Championship 5th place medal!

Koshko Wins District VI Girls Golf Championship

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy senior, Madison Koshko, did this unheard of feat when she won the PIAA District VI AA Girls Golf Championship for the fourth year in a row. Koshko earned this year’s title by shooting 62 (-10) from the women’s tees at the Windber Country Club Golf Course. In addition to the District title, Koshko’s play set a new Windber Country Club course record for the women’s tees. Madison’s sister, Olivia Koshko, is a sophomore at Saint Joseph’s and placed second in the PIAA District VI Class 2A Championship. Both girls now move on to the PIAA AA State Golf Championship, which will be held on October 20-21, 2025 at the Penn State Golf Courses.

Koshko Breaks Lost Creek Record

On Monday, August 18, 2025, SJCA Senior, Madison Koshko, broke the women’s course record at Lost Creek Country Club while playing in a Tri-valley Athletic Association competition. Koshko scored 65 (-6) from the women’s tees. Koshko made a total of 6 birdies and an eagle on her final hole.Congratulations Maddie!
